Kling 4.0 Flash: Ultra Subscribers Testing 20-Second Lip-Sync, Early Testers Stunned

Kling AI has started rolling out Kling 4.0 in stages—and the feature everyone's talking about is lip-sync that actually matches what the mouth is saying.

Kling 4.0 Flash, the lighter version, opened to Ultra Yearly subscribers on September 28, and creators on X are already posting clips showing speech that lands in sync with facial movement. One tester put it bluntly: mute the sound, watch the actor's mouth, and you can already guess 90% of the words. That's a sharp jump from earlier models where lip-sync often drifted.

What's Here and What's Coming

Flash is the faster, lighter build available now in early access, and testers who saw the full model said it's noticeably stronger, with cleaner picture and sound and better lip matching. Kling 4.0 Flash opened to Kling Ultra Yearly subscribers on September 28, 2026. Kling AI 4.0 launches in October 2026 with output up to 4K 10-bit HDR, single generations up to 30 seconds, up to 10 keyframes and up to 15 multimodal references.

Flash generates up to 20 seconds in a single pass at up to 720p and is described as "built for frequent creation," available now in a limited rollout. Kling AI says Kling 4.0 will officially launch in October 2026 but has not announced an exact day.

What People Are Making With It

Early testers have posted clips like "Cat with Orbs," a single 20-second generation on Kling 4.0 Flash early access. Across X and creator forums, the pattern is clear: testers are running through character dialogue, lip-synced explainers, and short-form video ideas that would have taken a lot of cleanup in earlier versions.

Kol Tregaskes, a UK-based AI commentator who tracks leaks and releases, posted a screenshot of a Kling model menu with two entries: VIDEO 4.0 Preview and VIDEO 4.0 Flash Preview, signaling the split rollout days before it launched.

What's Actually Good (and What Isn't)

Lip-sync is the standout. Early testers shared the same request: hurry up and launch it. That enthusiasm translates to real workflow gains—creators who need talk-to-camera content or subtitle-synced shots can trust the timing more than they could with earlier models.

The catch: One early tester reported unwanted music, spontaneous cuts despite a single-shot instruction, and no start-and-end-frame feature in their Flash access. These are early-access hiccups rather than permanent flaws, but they matter if you're testing it now. Flash does not support first and last frames or multiple keyframes, limiting keyframe control to text-to-video and image-to-video modes.

The 20-second cap on Flash is tight for narrative work. If you need longer single shots or finer motion control, you're waiting for the full model.

How to Try It

Kling 4.0 Flash offers its experience to Black Gold Annual Card Members (the $1,429.99 Ultra Yearly tier). As of September 29, the full Kling 4.0 launch is planned for October 2026. Flash has been available to a limited early-access group since September 28. Check your Kling AI account to see if Flash access has rolled out to your subscription tier.

For the full model with 30-second generation and 4K output, you're still waiting for October. No pricing for the main release has been announced, and the announcement does not specify a public Kling 4.0 API endpoint, API pricing, or a third-party provider launch date.
