A dense Pacific Northwest evergreen forest at night. Tall Douglas fir and Sitka spruce trunks fade into thick cold fog. Ferns, needles and fallen branches cover the forest floor. In the lower center, a small low mound of damp green moss lying close to the ground, only knee-high, rounded and soft, no opening or cave. From a thin dark gap at the base of the moss, right at ground level, a pair of small glowing red eyes glimmer, barely visible. No flashlight, no artificial light. Only faint cold blue-green moonlight filtering through the trees, deep black shadows, mist hanging low over the ground. Eerie, quiet, paranormal mood, the feeling of being watched. Shot on grainy 1990s 35mm film, muted desaturated colors, heavy film grain, soft focus edges, low contrast, nothing crisp or glossy.
