I started playing with AI image generation about 3 years ago, back in the SD1 days. As a tabletop RPG gamer, I wanted a quick way to get images for my characters without needing to scour websites for something I felt was 'close enough to work'. I don't run D&D/Fantasy. My favored game is Chronicles of Darkness (aka New World of Darkness), a modern setting in a dark version of our real world. Only here, vampires, werewolves, and other, stranger supernatural entities exist. This is one of the earliest generations I felt captured the character well, and I've been pleased to advance my tools, as well as my reference images, for this project I love.
