moths holding a funeral for a streetlight #dailyspark
Prompt
A solemn gathering of moths in muted grays and browns arranged in a circle around an extinguished streetlight lying horizontal on the ground like a coffin, rendered in the style of a Victorian-era engraving with fine cross-hatching and dramatic chiaroscuro, the moths' wings folded in what reads as grief, their antennae drooping downward, a few moths placing small dark objects (seeds, pebbles) atop the lamp as offering, the scene lit by a single distant moon casting long shadows that stretch across the composition, the entire image rendered in blacks, charcoals, and ivory with no color, evoking the weight of mourning and the unexpected tenderness of insects grieving their lost attraction.
